Etcetera
Etcetera was opened in February 2002 and is situated a few doors along from Wot-Nots.
Again the premises needed fitting out, renovating & organising.
Etcetera sells second-hand furniture, pictures, curtains/linen/bedding, all donated by members of the public. All items must comply with British Safety Standards and are sorted, cleaned and repaired before being put for sale. One of our volunteers is skilled in furniture renovation/French polishing which he teaches to other interested volunteers. There is also a garage at the rear of the premises, which is used by volunteers for wood working projects.
A van was purchased with the grant of a Community Award from Tesco’s and is used to collect and deliver furniture.
